Article Processing Charges (APC)

Vocational: Journal of Educational Technology is an open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal. To support its editorial and publishing operations, the journal implements an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 300,000 per accepted article, effective November 1, 2026.

The journal is committed to maintaining transparency in publication charges, editorial independence, and ethical scholarly publishing practices.

1. Manuscript Submission Fee

The journal does not charge authors any fees for manuscript submission, initial editorial screening, or peer review. Authors may submit their manuscripts without making any payment.

2. Article Processing Charge (APC)

An APC of IDR 300,000 (three hundred thousand Indonesian rupiah) is charged for each manuscript formally accepted for publication on or after November 1, 2026.

The APC applies per accepted article, regardless of the number of authors, manuscript length, or authors' institutional affiliations.

Payment is requested only after the corresponding author receives an official acceptance notification and payment instructions from the editorial office.

3. Services Covered by the APC

The APC contributes to the operational costs associated with scholarly publication, including:

  • Editorial administration and manuscript management

  • Manuscript preparation and typesetting

  • DOI registration and related publication services

  • Online publication and journal website maintenance

  • Publication-related technical and administrative services

The APC does not constitute payment for manuscript acceptance or favorable peer-review outcomes.

4. Additional Fees

The journal does not impose any additional mandatory author fees beyond the stated APC.

There are no manuscript submission fees, peer-review fees, page charges, or other mandatory publication charges.

5. APC Waiver and Discount Policy

The journal currently does not offer APC waivers or discounts.

Any future changes to the APC waiver or discount policy will be publicly announced on the journal's official website before implementation.

6. Editorial Independence

All manuscripts are evaluated according to their scientific quality, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, and compliance with the journal's editorial and ethical standards.

APC payment status and any financial arrangements do not influence manuscript evaluation, peer-review recommendations, or editorial decisions.

Payment of the APC does not guarantee publication.

7. Open Access and Licensing

All articles published in Vocational: Journal of Educational Technology are made freely and immediately accessible to readers without subscription or access charges.

Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), in accordance with the journal's copyright and licensing policy.

8. Effective Date and Transitional Arrangements

This APC policy takes effect on November 1, 2026.

Manuscripts formally accepted for publication before November 1, 2026, are not subject to the APC.

Manuscripts accepted on or after November 1, 2026, are subject to the APC of IDR 300,000, regardless of their original submission date.

Authors of manuscripts already under editorial review before the effective date will be informed about the applicable APC policy.

9. Payment Procedure and Inquiries

After formal manuscript acceptance, the corresponding author will receive official payment instructions from the editorial office.

Authors should make payments only through the payment channels officially communicated by the journal.
