Abstract

Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Kaligrafi Tionghoa di SMA Katolik Gembala Baik Pontianak menghadapi tantangan berupa menurunnya konsistensi partisipasi siswa akibat tingginya beban akademik, padahal kegiatan ini berpotensi memperkuat karakter dan mewariskan nilai budaya luhur. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan memperkuat karakter, meningkatkan ketahanan mental, serta menumbuhkan apresiasi siswa terhadap warisan budaya Tionghoa. Sasaran kegiatan adalah siswa peserta ekstrakurikuler Kaligrafi Tionghoa tahun pelajaran 2025/2026 dengan pendampingan kolaboratif antara pelaksana pengabdian dan guru pembina sekolah. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan kesadaran penuh dan pembelajaran tindakan partisipatif melalui lima tahap, yaitu persiapan dan diversifikasi media, pendampingan intensif berbasis eksplorasi makna teks, kurasi dan pameran karya, pengembangan mentoring sebaya, serta refleksi dan evaluasi bersama. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa diversifikasi gaya tulisan dan media, disertai pembahasan makna idiom serta puisi klasik Tiongkok, meningkatkan fokus, kesabaran, pengendalian diri, dan komitmen siswa dalam berlatih. Mentoring sebaya dan kurasi pameran secara kolaboratif juga mendorong terbentuknya komunitas belajar yang lebih mandiri, partisipatif, dan berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, Kaligrafi Tionghoa tidak hanya mengembangkan keterampilan artistik, tetapi juga menjadi media penguatan karakter, internalisasi nilai filosofis, pelestarian budaya, dan pengembangan komunitas belajar di sekolah. Keberlanjutan program berpotensi diperkuat melalui sistem mentoring sebaya dan pelaksanaan pameran karya secara berkala.
