Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model on the learning outcomes of Pancasila Education of grade V elementary school students. The study used a quasi-experimental approach with a nonequivalent control group pretest–posttest design. The research subjects consisted of two classes, namely the VB class as an experimental group that applied the TGT model and the VC class as a control group that used the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model. The learning outcome data was obtained through pretest and posttest tests, then analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent t-tests with the help of SPSS version 25. The results of the analysis showed that the average score of students in the experimental group increased from 69.33 to 83.60, while the control group increased from 69.17 to 78.37. The significance value of the t-test of 0.022 (p < 0.05) indicates a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two groups. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Teams Games Tournament learning model has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of Pancasila Education for grade V elementary school students.
