Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning process and outcomes of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) through the implementation of the Quantum Teaching model in fifth-grade students at SDN 50/II Lubuk Landai. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were 25 fifth-grade students in the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through teacher observation, student observation, and learning achievement tests. The findings reveal a significant improvement in teaching quality, increasing from 71% (Fair) in cycle I to 92% (Excellent) in cycle II. Student participation also improved from 60.5% (Moderate) to 86% (Very High). Moreover, the average student learning outcomes increased from 62% (Fair) in cycle I to 88% (Excellent) in cycle II. These results demonstrate that the Quantum Teaching model fosters an engaging classroom atmosphere, enhances student involvement, and positively impacts learning achievement in IPAS. Therefore, this model can serve as an alternative innovative teaching strategy for elementary school teachers.
