ANALISIS KETERAMPILAN MENGAJAR MAHASISWA CALON GURU SEKOLAH DASAR DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MICRO TEACHING

Micro teaching is a crucial means for developing basic teaching skills for student teachers before facing real learning situations. However, several studies indicate that students' mastery of teaching skills is still not optimal and they often experience obstacles such as lack of confidence. This study aims to analyze the teaching skills of students in micro teaching for primary school student teachers and to identify aspects of skills that still need to be improved. This study utilized a quantitative method with a comparative descriptive design. The research subjects consisted of 20 students of the PGSD Study Program, FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Indonesia (UNISMA Bekasi) in the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year selected using the total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through observation using a structured assessment sheet and documentation , which were then analyzed using descriptive statistics with Microsoft Excel. The results showed that students' teaching skills were generally in the very good category with an average score of 82.31. Furthermore, there was a significant increase in performance between Microteaching 1 (average 31.10) and Microteaching 2 (average 34.75). Based on the aspect analysis, classroom management skills obtained the highest percentage (91.25% - Very Good Category) , while the aspect of opening the lesson obtained the lowest percentage (60.00% - Sufficient Category). In conclusion, the implementation of micro teaching has proven effective in improving students' pedagogical competence through structured practice and continuous feedback. Nonetheless, the portion of practice on the skills of opening lessons and two-way interaction needs to be increased so that the competency development of primary school student teachers can proceed more optimally.
